Since 1963, Dart Controls’ motor drives, controls, and accessories have been used by customers for all sorts of applications, providing dependable solutions.

But there are some very surprising and unique applications for our controls, as well.  From perfect beach views to perfectly cooked pizza, check out some of the interesting things our controls are providing:

• Rotating Home: When a retired couple decided to make their dream home a reality, they needed the right tools in order to make it work. Their dream: A circular house on a cliff overlooking the ocean that would rotate, allowing them to choose their view at any given time. • Dairy cow teat-washer: Think milking a cow is a one-step process? In actuality, the FDA requires that a milking cows udder be washed before she is placed on a milking machine; our controls are used within a handheld wand with a rotating brush that gently and easily washes the areas. The control rotates the brushes in the wand and makes the whole process that much smoother.
• Liquid nitrogen scalpel: This is an emerging technology proven to have many benefits over existing laser scalpels, without generating as much smoke and cauterizing the area of incision. Our controls are used within a pump that sends nitrogen to the scalpel, making the technology work the way it does.
• Conveyor pizza oven: Revolutionary in the food industry, a micro processor in the control allows for exact cooking times in the oven and enables it to display the cooking time in minutes and seconds. This product actually evolved into our current MicroDrive series product, and we have shipped roughly 70,000-80,000 of these controls for this type of oven over the years.
