According to a study by the Boston Consulting Group last year, over 80% of U.S. consumers are willing to pay more for Made in the USA products—as are more than 60% of Chinese consumers. Clearly, American-made resonates with people around the world.
This is, of course, great news for American manufacturing. However, in these precarious times when the economy depends on this great industry, it’s as important as ever to keep American-made goods at the forefront of our minds, and to keep the message of the recent Manufacturing Day going.
That’s why we should all do our part in celebrating American Made Matters Day on November 19, 2013. Sponsored by American Made Matters®, this will be the first annual celebration of American-made goods, a day “encouraging consumers to buy at least one American-made product to show their support for American manufacturing…[and] a movement encouraging Americans to buy products made in America throughout the upcoming holiday shopping season.”
American Made Matters is an organization dedicated to informing people about the overall importance of purchasing American-made products. They hope this day will make a difference in consumers’ minds and purchasing habits, and on the economy as a whole.
After all, if every American participates in this day, and keeps the purpose of it on the forefront of their minds, countless jobs and businesses will be positively impacted as a result.
As an American manufacturer having produced quality goods in this country since 1963, we wholeheartedly believe in the value and importance of the industry, and therefore, that of a day that supports and celebrates it. We proudly make products in Zionsville, Indiana, employing dedicated, hardworking, reliable Americans who make drives, controls, and accessories we can all be proud of.
We look forward to celebrating American Made Matters Day, and encourage you to do the same!
